The topic of nutrition or diet in cancer is one of the most conflicting and controversial areas in cancer, but for many people with cancer, both those undergoing treatment and those in remission, taking control of diet has a hugely empowering effect, both physically and psychologically.
Star throwers offers fortnightly talks and workshops on cancer nutrition with our experienced and knowledgeable nutritionist Edwina Green. It is also a chance to meet others and share experiences, tips, and recipes! We are now offering one-to-one appointments with our Nutritionist – Edwina. Please book to attend one of the Nutrition Guidelines talks prior to booking an individual session so you hear the basics of Edwina’s approach to nutrition during a cancer diagnosis. One-to-one nutrition sessions will be held at the centre and last approximately one hour.
Visit our ‘Events’ pages to find out about our upcoming nutrition talks or see full list below.
We aim to provide evidence-based information and practical holistic advice on supporting you or a loved one with cancer using food and nutrition. The talks cover a range of topics including:
- Nutritional guidelines for living with a cancer diagnosis
