Financial Support Navigator

Can we help navigate potential financial support you may be entitled to?

Have your circumstances changed, due to ill health?

If so, you may need help to navigate your way through the benefit system.  It can be really confusing to know which benefits are available to help you, and whether you are eligible.

Some forms may feel intimidating, and overwhelming, especially when you are feeling unwell.

The good news is, that not all benefits are means tested, and if you are ill, you may qualify for help.

Come along to see Fiona, our Financial Support Navigator.  Fiona can help you find out if you qualify for financial assistance, and if so, help you complete the claim forms.

If you have had to stop working, or had to reduce your hours due to ill health, it may be that you are entitled to make a claim for one of the following benefits:

  • Personal Independence Payments
  • Housing Benefit
  • Reduced Council Tax
  • Universal Credit
  • Employment and Support Allowance
  • Reduced car Tax

Or if you are retired, and are incurring extra costs for transport for hospital and doctors appointments, or you need extra help around the home due to your illness, you may qualify for

Attendance Allowance or Carers Allowance for your partner.

Or if you are on a low income, you may qualify for:

  • Pension Credit
  • Housing Benefit
  • Reduced Council Tax

Fiona can also help with:

  • Blue Badge Applications,
  • Prescription Exemption Certificates

We cannot guarantee that we will be able to secure any benefits for you, it will depend on your individual circumstances.

Fiona will be with us on 18th January between 9.30am and 11.30am and then fortnightly.
