This World Cancer Day help us fund one of our key support areas – our free cancer-related Lymphoedema support – click here to support our campaign.

We are aiming to raise £6000 which would pay for 100 free Lymphoedema support sessions at our centre in Wymondham with our qualified Lymphoedema Therapist. Star Throwers is the only cancer charity in Norfolk offering this free service to those affected by this chronic condition which is diagnosed in approximately 10-20% of cancer patients. We are seeking to fill the ‘care gap’ for this support due to long waiting lists for the NHS service and high costs of going private (£60+ per session). Lymphoedema is non-curable but it can be made more manageable with the proper support in place – which is what we are seeking to continue to provide and also expand this service in the future.

I am so grateful to Star Throwers. The team are so friendly and welcoming and offer services designed to meet so many needs that arise during and after a cancer diagnosis and it’s treatment.
