Tilly wrote these special words about why she took on this challenge in memory of her Mum:
“Star Throwers holds a special place for me (Tilly) thanks to everything they offered my mum throughout her two year battle with cancer, which sadly ended in December 2018.
As someone who was always curious and interested in complimentary therapies and alternative ways of healing, my mum wasn’t satisfied with a completely mainstream approach to treatment when she was diagnosed with cancer. Star Throwers offered her hope where conventional medicine could not and encouraged her to be empowered in her health and to take control of her diagnosis.
Even when treatments failed, Star Throwers was a place where she could go and relax, have a coffee and spend time with people who understood what she was going through.
Everything that Star Throwers offers is free, and without the generosity of others could not continue to run. Any donations would be greatly appreciated to enable this wonderful charity continue to offer hope to people in their darkest hours like they did for my mum.”
