Come and make a ‘Boromono’ Bag at Star Throwers
Wednesday 30th October – Part 1
Wednesday 13th November – Part 2
10am – 12pm at the Star Throwers Centre
The word ‘Boromono’ comes from the Japanese practice of re-using and repairing their textiles by patching and using running stitches to make the patch look beautiful. They leave raw edges. This simple hand sewing is very much part of the ‘ Mindfulness’ movement.
All you need is a piece of fabric twice the size of your bag (size up to you) and bits of fabric to sew onto it. These can be all the same colour or a rainbow selection!
Star Throwers will provide thread and needles. Kits can be provided, if necessary for £10. Bring your own pins and scissors.
This should be a lovely, relaxing and creative time, spread over two sessions.
Suggested donation £5-£10, kits can be purchased for £10.
Spaces limited so please contact us to register: info@starthrowers.org.uk / 01953 423304
