Star Throwers and Big C were incredibly grateful to benefit from the fundraising efforts of local gun dog trainers Sharon Dingle and Jo Rollinson receiving £3000 each to support people affected by cancer.
On Sunday 1stJuly over forty competitors and their four legged friends took part in a competition followed by an auction, which alone raised £3665, to raise funds for these two worthy charities. The amazing volunteer team of over twenty helpers (the youngest being two girls aged six) ran the event, tombola, refreshments and a barbeque selling exclusively pheasant sausages donated By Wild and Game. The grand total at the end of the day was an incredible £6000, which has been split between the two charities.
Sharon and Jo, Event Organisers said: “We would like to thank everyone who made the day possible, particularly the helpers who braved the heat and horseflies without complaint, we feel it has been a huge success.”
